Lakewood vaccination clinic offers stability and Pfizer vaccine 3 days a week.

You’ve told us you want easy and convenient ways to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Starting today, a clinic in Lakewood will offer Pfizer vaccine Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. for everyone 16 and older.

The walk-up clinic is at the old Dress Barn building—10330 59th Ave SW Suite B, Lakewood, WA 98499—in Lakewood Towne Center. We’ll post registration links on our website, but we’ll also have extra doses on hand for 50 or so walk-in appointments a day.

A parent or guardian will need to sign a consent form for 16- and 17-year-olds to be able to get the vaccine, although they do not need to be present at the time of vaccination.

Health Department staff surround a sign at the Lakewood vaccination clinic.

We’re here for you.

Register at tpchd.org/vaxtothefuture, call (253) 649-1412, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. 7 days a week, or stop by our COVID-19 site at Lakewood Towne Center. If you don’t have the internet or a phone? No problem. Come on down.

Some of you have told us that you don’t know exactly what you need to get vaccinated, and we’re here to help walk you through it. You don’t need a primary physician or health insurance. COVID-19 vaccine is always free.

Now that we have a fixed location, you can stop by and schedule an appointment or just walk-in and get vaccinated. If we don’t have appointments that day, we can schedule you for another one or connect you with our call center for a future appointment.

Don’t hesitate, vaccinate.

The time to get vaccinated for COVID-19 is now. You might be on the fence about the vaccine, and we’re hopeful this site will make it easier for you.

Some worry you’ll feel rushed at a mass vaccination site or drive-thru clinic and not have time to ask questions. If you have concerns, you can talk to us about them.

We know previous negative experiences with healthcare can sometimes feed worries about getting the vaccine. Again, we’re hopeful this and future fixed locations in the community will help with that, too.

We can even help with transportation. We have a partnership with Around the Sound, and you may qualify for free rides to and from the clinic or other vaccination sites. To learn more, call (253) 858-7088 or go to atstrans.org.

Pierce Transit also gives free bus rides to people going to vaccine appointments. For more information about that, call (253) 581-8000 (press 1, then press 1 again) or visit piercetransit.org.

Brighter future together.

We’re happy we can offer COVID-19 vaccine regularly to everyone 16 and up in the same location. We’re adding more fixed COVID-19 vaccination sites in the future. We’ll keep you posted.

We’ve seen COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations rise recently in Pierce County. Gov. Jay Inslee just moved us back to Phase 2 on Friday because of those increases.

Please do your part to protect yourself, your family and those around you from COVID-19.

Get vaccinated at one our sites or clinics, at a pharmacy or with your healthcare provider. You have lots of options at www.tpchd.org/vaxtothefuture. Encourage those in your networks to get vaccinated, too. Working together, we can get to community immunity.

Can’t leave home? We’ll bring vaccine to you! Call (253) 649-1412, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. 7 days a week to request this service.

Please help to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community. We can all take these steps to help end the pandemic:

This new clinic in Lakewood is another great step forward. We hope to see you there soon!
