We permit the LRI landfill to accept commercial and residential waste. The permit requires LRI to monitor:
- Groundwater.
- Surface water.
- Landfill gas (methane).
We make sure the landfill’s operation protects the environment. The quarterly reports summarize results from:
- On-site groundwater monitoring network.
- Leak detection and collection system.
- Leachate sampling.
- Surface water sampling.
- Landfill gas-monitoring efforts.
Annual reports include:
- Facility capacity.
- Closure and post-closure cost-estimates.
