How does someone get hepatitis A?
Hepatitis A is found in fecal matter. When a person infected with hepatitis A doesn’t wash their hands after using the toilet, the germs can spread through the things they touch.

People who are at high risk for hepatitis A or B may be eligible for free immunizations at the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department.
