  • Selling Your Property: Water Supply Review

    Is your water supply safe, reliable and legal?

    When you buy or sell a home, we offer a service to provide water supply information to:

    • Realtors.
    • Banks, mortgage companies and other lenders.
    • Buyers.
    • Sellers.

    What happens after I submit my application?

    Individual Water Supply Review: A water supply that serves a single-family home.

    To prepare for this review:

    • Make sure your electricity is on.
    • Well and well components work normally.
    • We need access to all water components (pumphouse, well, pump controls, treatment).

    If house has been vacant for more than 30 days:

    • Turn on outdoor spigots and run sprinklers to flush water lines for a few hours before our site visit.

    We will visit your property to:

    • Inspect the water source.
    • Inspect pump house, if applicable.
    • Collect a water sample for bacteria and nitrate.

    We will:

    • Complete our review within 10 business days.
    • Send you a complete Water Supply Review.

    Public Water Supply Review: A water system that serves more than one home or commercial building.

    We will:

    • Review the application.
    • Ensure the water system meets public health standards.
    • Complete our review within 5 business days.
    • Send you a complete Water Supply Review.

    The Water Supply Review is a snapshot of the water supply on the day we conduct the inspection. Our review doesn’t guarantee the future condition of the water system.
