    2024 providers

    Amelia Adriana Cervantes, LMFT

    As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Adriana serves children and families. She double majored in Psychology and Spanish Literature at University of California, Berkeley. She received a Master’s in Psychology from Phillips Graduate Institute with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy.

    In 2016, Adriana became Co-Director of the Latino Family Program at Phillips Graduate Institute where she oversaw services to children, families, and couples from underserved communities. Phillips Graduate Institute invited her to teach mental health, social justice, assessment, and treatment as adjunct faculty.

    Adriana became a Triple P-contracted trainer in 2011. In 2014, she joined Triple P International to translate Triple P resources. Adriana continues to pursue her interests in holistic therapeutic practices and treats psychological trauma.

    Floyd Marshall

    Floyd is a Certified Counselor and holds a Bachelor of Theology from Caribbean Union College (now University of Southern Caribbean). He received a Master’s in Educational and Developmental Psychology from Andrews University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Organizational Behavior from the University of London.

    Floyd has worked as a Correctional Mental Health Counselor with the Department of Corrections and a Psychology Associate at Western State Hospital. He has a passion for helping people live productive lives.

    Floyd has been a Certified Triple P Provider since 2016.

    Jose Miguel

    Jose has a passion for working with Pierce County families in Spanish-speaking communities. He earned a Bachelor of Agricultural Engineering, majoring in Agricultural Industries, from Chapingo Autonomous University in Mexico.

    Jose serves the local Latino community as a Community Health Worker for Multicultural Child Family Hope Center. He manages the Eastside Community Garden and facilitates the relationship between the local gardeners and Family Support Partnership. Jose also serves as the Executive Director for Esperanza Mobil Family Resource Center. Jose is the devoted father of 5 children and 2 grandchildren.

    Jose has been a Certified Triple P Provider since 2021.

    Norma Purdom

    Norma cares deeply about the diverse family groups she works with. Her passion for families in crisis motivated her to pursue a master’s degree in social work in 2020. Norma holds a Bachelor of Psychology with a minor in Hispanic Studies from the University of Washington, Tacoma. In 2019, University of Washington recognized Norma as one of the Husky 100 for acting as a bridge to volunteerism for other students, inspiring them to serve vulnerable communities.

    As a Certified Counselor, Norma provides mental health therapy to underserved families. She engages families in positive discipline with love and affection and strives to empower them toward self-efficacy. Currently, Norma is pursuing a license as an independent clinical social worker.

    Norma has been a Certified Triple P Provider since 2012.

    Nikki Weldon

    Nikki has worked with children and families for more than 20 years as an elementary school teacher, family engagement specialist, early childhood home visitor, and parent educator. She is a certified birth and postpartum doula.

    Nikki holds a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development from Spelman College. She received a Master’s in Education in Early Childhood Education from Armstrong State University (now Georgia Southern University).

    Nikki has been a Certified Triple P Provider since 2016.
