Learn more about healthy community planning

How your community is designed and the decisions community planners make can impact you and your family’s health outcomes. You can learn more about our work to foster healthy community planning at this week’s Board of Health study session. We’ll talk about:

  • Health Impact Assessments.
  • State Environmental Policy Act reviews.
  • How we work with planners.

You can preview the presentation in our Board of Health packet online.

Questions? Contact Erin Dilworth at edilworth@tpchd.org.

What comes next for our facilities?

You will also see a presentation at this week’s study session from our partners at Pierce County detailing our facility needs for Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department.

You can preview that presentation, as well, in the packet online. Board of Health members will have a chance to ask questions and offer feedback at the meeting.

Questions? Contact Gina Shackelford at gshackelford@tpchd.org.

Coming soon: Your upgraded tpchd.org

You’re just a few weeks away from the new-and-improved tpchd.org!

  • We’re migrating to a new platform. We can’t wait for you to see it.
  • The Communication Team is working closely with the website vendor, AndiSites, to ensure a smooth transition for our internal and external customers.
  • You’ll see things on the new website like:
    • Upgraded language access.
    • A publication library you can filter and sort.

The project is on track to launch Jan. 16. Questions? Email us at communications@tpchd.org.
