Wildfire season approaches

May is Wildfire Awareness Month. Is your family ready for wildfire smoke? It affects everyone, but can be especially bad if you’re:

  • Under 18.
  • Over 65.
  • Pregnant.
  • Living with heart or lung disease.

Health Department will close June 27 for staff retreat

Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department will close its building at 3629 S. D St., Tacoma, WA 98418 on Thursday, June 27, for a staff retreat. You can find many of our services online.

Board of Health will meet June 5

The Board of Health will meet June 5 for its regular meeting. You can see a presentation about our work to ensure safe drinking water in our community.

We’ll post the agenda later this week on our website. We will not have a study session in June. The Health Department will be closed on June 19 for the Juneteenth holiday.
