Summertime is almost here! And for many families, that means playing in a pool, lake, or river. While water is fun, it can also be dangerous.

  • Drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1-4 in the U.S.
  • Activities like swimming, boating, fishing, and others all pose a risk.
  • Before summer gets into full swing, make sure you’re safe. Take steps to protect your family.

Board of Health will hold regular meeting May 15

The Board of Health will meet Wednesday, May 15, for its regular monthly meeting after holding a retreat last week. You can see a presentation on our work with folks who live in East Tacoma, which is one of our Communities of Focus.
