Washington State Department of Health lifted the shellfish biotoxin closure for recreational shellfish harvesting from Days Island and Point Fosdick north to King and Kitsap counties. This includes Commencement Bay, Colvos Passage and the Narrows.
Shellfish biotoxin concentrations are again at safe levels. With the lifting of this closure, we have no biotoxin closures in Pierce County.
